How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To

When you reach out through Stepsmark Roofing, you are heading toward an independent roofing provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. It sets its own prices, schedule and work methods.

There are no staff profiles on this site because the people who inspect and work on your roof belong to the provider, not to us. Ask the provider who will visit your home and who will be on the roof.

What Happens on the Call

Expect a short, practical conversation. The provider will usually ask:

  • Where the home is and roughly how old the roof is
  • What you have noticed, such as stains, leaks or missing shingles
  • Whether a recent storm or hail event may be involved
  • Whether you want a full replacement or a smaller fix

Then the provider may offer to visit and measure. Availability varies, so Request a callback to check provider availability in your town. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing is set by each one.

What to Ask Before You Accept a Quote

A calm list of questions saves money later. Try these:

  • Is the quote in writing, and does it cover tear-off, disposal and cleanup?
  • Which materials are included, and what brand and type?
  • What happens if the deck is rotted once the old roof is off, and how is that priced?
  • Who is responsible for permits?
  • How is the flashing, ventilation and ice protection handled for our cold winters?
  • What proof of license and insurance can you show?
  • What written warranty comes with labor and with materials?
  • What is the payment schedule?

Read the quote before you sign. If two quotes differ a lot, ask each provider why.

You Are in Control

Contacting a provider does not commit you to anything. You can compare several quotes, ask follow-up questions and say no. Take your time unless water is actively coming in. In that case, a temporary cover may be the first practical step, and a provider can explain the options.

If you think a storm damaged the roof, take dated photos and check your policy. Some policies may cover sudden damage. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
